Internal Medicine
Understanding adult health across a lifetime
My training in Internal Medicine shapes how I think about prevention, complex health concerns, and the relationships that support health over time. As an Internal Medicine–Pediatrics physician, I bring a perspective that spans childhood through adulthood.
What is Internal Medicine?
Internal Medicine focuses on adult health. It includes preventing illness, evaluating new symptoms, and understanding how different conditions and treatments affect one another. An internist considers the larger picture of a person’s health rather than focusing on a single organ system.
How this training shapes my approach
I value careful listening, clear explanations, and decisions informed by evidence and each person’s circumstances. My osteopathic education emphasizes the whole person, while my background in epidemiology and biostatistics helps me evaluate research and communicate its practical meaning.
My professional interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease care, medical education, and the transition from pediatric to adult care. I am board eligible in Internal Medicine and board certified in Pediatrics. View my credentials.
A perspective across generations
Combined training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics allows me to consider how early health experiences can influence adulthood. It also informs how I teach future physicians to connect individual patient care with a broader understanding of health. Explore Pediatrics or read my story.
