Beyond the White Coat…

Thoughts on medicine, motherhood, faith, and the moments that shape us.

Welcome to Beyond the White Coat

I've wanted to be a physician since I was four years old.

Back then, I couldn't have imagined the journey that would bring me to where I am today. I only knew that my doctors made me feel seen, heard, and cared for, and I wanted to do the same for others.

Medicine has been one of the greatest callings of my life, but it has never been the only part of my story.

I'm also a wife, a mother, a teacher, a lifelong learner, an aspiring writer, and a woman whose faith has carried her through more than I could have imagined.

I created this space to share a little more of the person behind the white coat.

Some days, that may mean talking about preventive medicine or helping make sense of new medical research. Other days, it may mean sharing something I've learned through motherhood, teaching, or navigating life's unexpected challenges.

And sometimes, it will mean sharing a glimpse of the testimony I'm currently writing—a story of God's faithfulness through seasons when the path ahead wasn't always clear.

My hope is that this space becomes a place for thoughtful conversations, meaningful learning, and encouragement.

Thank you for being here. I'm glad you've found your way to this little corner of my world.
